Part of the ongoing mission of The Quaker Foundation is to recognize and support outstanding alumni, educators and students. To that end, each year, The Quaker Foundation sponsors the annual Recognition Banquet in May. At that time, outstanding alumni and teachers are recognized. Alumni awards include Lifetime Contribution Award, Distinguished Service Award, Special Achievement Award and the Citizen of the Year Award. In addition, The Foundation also reviews nominees and selects a teacher deserving of the Dr. William J. and Mae Hurst Jackson Award for Distinguished Teaching each year.
The Foundation also recognizes a Retired Educator for dedicated service each year at the Homecoming Event, and presents the Annual Spirit Award, which recognizes an individual outside the classroom for their dedicated service to the New Philadelphia City Schools.
